Abstract
In Sample Surveys, Inference relates only to Point estimation and Interval estimation. No testing of hypotheses problem is addressed here. Setting of tolerance limits and/or tolerance ranges is also not aimed at point estimation of a finite population total and mean of a single variable, the ratio of the total of one variable to that of another variable, the total, multiple and partial correlation coefficients and total, partial & multiple regression coefficients is within the ambit of areas of interest in inference-making in contexts of survey sampling. Interval estimation of a variate-total/mean is also of a general interest here.
