On products from blocks of consecutive odd integers

Abstract

We consider an equation for a question analogous to a conjecture of Hickerson for consecutive positive odd integers and give effective bounds for the solution of the equation under the explicit abc conjecture. This is obtained by using estimates on lower bounds of the greatest prime factor of consecutive positive odd integers.
