Abstract
Recently, finding locally dense regions referred to as complexe from large protein-protein interaction (PPI) dataset modeled as a PPI network has received a serious attentio among the bioinformatic researchers. Such protein complexe play key role in many biological processes and henc considered to be an important task in post-genomic era This paper addresses the problem of identifying protein complexe from the protein-protein interaction network usin a graph density approach. The efiectiveness of our protei complex extraction method referred to as 'PDComp has been established in terms of well known p value, colocalizatio score and physical interaction. Our results sho that the technique is capable of detecting biologically significan protein complexes from the PPI network.
