Abstract
We propose a new model to explain a bulb crop production and validate the model. A new type of distribution named ‘extended uniform distribution’ in discrete and continuous form is proposed and related characterization theorems are proved. The proposed model fits the data well. Two production seasons of bulb crop garlic are compared from estimated model parameters. We estimate end point of a distribution based on one-sided convergence and minimise bias by averaging upper and lower almost sure estimates. Convergence properties of the estimators are also investigated.
