The paper reflects how the Central Library, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has been changing its direction from traditional library to electronic library and now its moving towards Digital Library. The paper gives a brief introduction about digital library and also highlight about the NIT, Silchar digital project, its objective, methodology adopted for the implementation of the project and outcome of the project
