Abstract

This chapter provides an introduction to the exciting field of Quantum Information Processing. It covers the basic quantum mechanics and introduces the language of Quantum computing. The chapter also introduces the necessary prerequisite of linear algebra required to understand information processing in the quantum level. Also we introduce the idea entanglement and Bell inequality. Finally a review of quantum gates followed by some basic quantum algorithms.
