Quasi-factorially closed subrings of commutative rings

In this paper, we prove some new results as well as some generalizations of the results proved in  about factorially closed subrings and quasi-factorially closed subrings of commutative rings. In this connection, we also give a topological proof of the second theorem of Bertini since it is related to the notion of quasi-factorial closedness.
