Abstract

A new prescription is given to explore efficient thermoelectric device at molecular-scale level. The system consists of a single molecule having two loops, where each of these loops is subjected to a magnetic flux. The efficiency of a thermoelectric device, measured by the quantity figure of merit, usually referred as ZT, essentially depends on the asymmetric nature of transmission function. Selectively choosing magnetic fluxes, we can achieve highly asymmetric transmission function, which yields reasonably large ZT to satisfy the present demand. Our analysis can be implemented to any two-loop interferometric geometries and higher-loop systems as well.
